I gave a talk at the Chippewa Moraine Ice Age Trail Headquarters last night and fell asleep last night, a guest of Pat and Richard, to the serenade of loons and barred owls. Oh, it was one of the best night’s sleeps ever! Thank you Pat and Richard for opening your home to us and for your wonderful hospitality!
This morning I did this circle loop which stems off the IAT. It was a fun loop, beautifully maintained and transverses at least 20 lakes!
The people at the Headquarters here are wonderful as are all of the IAT volunteers that I met last night. It was a pleasure telling tales from the trails to the group.
The facility is one of the nicest I’ve seen and they are very active in educational programs for children. The programs get the kids outside to discover by observing.
