Richard Bong State Recreational Trails – Kenosha

Trail Description:

Mostly prairie and  some wooded sections make up this trail system. Come prepared for bugs (deer flies in the prairie and mosquitos in the woods) in the summer time. Trail use for running, hiking and mountain biking. Great Cross Country skiing in the winter time.

Awesome and well maintained trail system with something for everyone!

Difficulty:

Easy. Fairly flat, very well maintained trails.. Soft underfoot. Wide trails in prairie, single track in wooded areas.

Hiking or running shoes. Water. There is not a place on the trail head to fill up, however a ranger station is close to the trail head and there is likely water available, if you are willing to loop back for water.

There are two trail head entrances in the same area. The Blue and  Green trails all start to the right, over the bridge (you will love the bridge!) and the others all start straight forward (you will see what I mean when you are at the trailhead).
