.. I cannot say enough about these shoes.. it starts with this.. I COULDN’T SLEEP LAST NIGHT .. because all I could do was imagine feeling the earth under my feet .. and I did .. and more! !!! Here are all the benefits of wearing these shoes (and I plan to hike trail in them too as I explore more the IAT) …

1. I felt the earth, the mud (ran through it and felt it squish between my “toes” ) , the dewy grass…

2. It took me a few minutes to get used to the rocks on the trail .. once I got it (using more of the heel of my foot or flat foot ) I was off like a rocket! .. Uphills were fun!!! I felt like a tree frog, my toes gripping to the earth to PULL me up .. very different from the normal bulky running shoe.

3. Uses more ligaments than you ever use running in the normal running shoe.. who invented running shoes anyway? .. This feels so natural and it is! … so get great legs by using it all! .. I even felt my glutes and calves which I rarely feel and 9.3 miles felt like a breeze and like play and MUCH faster than I could go via the normal padded shoe!

4. Light .. light .. light on my feet! Ok, many good points here.. first of all, I got within 10 feet of a doe who was watching me as I came towards her running full on .. but my sound was so quiet and absorbed by the earth, as is hers. that I was like the other “barefoot” animals of the land.. got to LOVE that! …

5.. I always look down at my feet in the clodhopping running shoes that were created to make us taller and wider with cushion .. our feet hidden within but my width or height always catching a root or a rock and sometimes it knocks me on my butt or chest.. I am easy prey to falling on trail! .. But with my “almost barefoot” five fingers I am trusting my feet! .. so I was for once looking ahead! .. how wonderful to really be enjoying the scene as I ran fast .. and not looking down!
