March 10, 2010 CA to AZ. The beautiful sky that became the storm

I am a bit behind on my promo photo pages. Through the traveling, driving, speaking, etc I find it hard to do it all . so I catch up when I can! Thanks for your patience! .. As I drove almost 2 weeks ago into Arizona the sky in the desert suddenly became this amazing intensity of storm clouds mixed with deep blue. The desert sand was illuminated and I pulled onto a back country sand road to photograph what you see here. As I did a rainbow appeared and my polarizing filter allowed me to bring out its colors as you see here. This amazing experience turned into a more harrowing one as I continued my drive towards Flagstaff.. the beauty that you see here was a significant snow storm and I had to pull off into the town of Williams for the night to stay safe. Mountain driving in snow and ice = not a good idea.
