Glacier-Avalanche-Lake-1118 Over looking Avalanche Lake from 1/3 way up a mountain waterfall in Glacier National Park. This image holds fond memories for me. My friend Kimberli and I hiked around Avalanche Lake and met up with Rob and his son on the other side. All of being the adventurous types we hiked back country and scrambled up the rocky side of this waterfall. We were unable to climb past a certain point but we sat up high and ate lunch. As we came down, which was far more trecherous than going up, I made this image. Right here I set my gear down at the side, stood on a rock and soaked my head and drank the water. This is the spot.
