Photographic Painting. I rarely like to get creative beyond the norms of the “digital darkroom” applied to my in the field creativity with camera, lens and experiences, as I like to show what I see and only that. However this image is one of those times when I made use of my digital darkroom to create & add a more “painterly” feel to the photograph. The grasses were blurred and the reflection of the swan’s heads was exaggerated. This finished image expresses the peace I felt as soon as I entered Bong Recreational Area,near Kenosha, WI.
